DISCOVERING THE TRIANGLE

DISCOVERING THE TRIANGLE

Le Triangle_Condo_Neuf_Montreal

Located in Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grace, one of Montreal’s prime area for families, the Triangle is bordered by Mountain Sights Avenue to the west, Savane Street to the north and the east and the Canadian Pacific Railway (CP) to the south. Its location at the junction of highways 15 and 40 makes it easily accessible for drivers and it also benefits from the proximity of two metro stations (Namur and De La Savane).

A MAJOR TRANSFORMATION
This sector, which is still very little known to Montrealers, is undergoing a facelift. The goal of this revitalization project is to modernize the area, create a safer neighborhood and build a greater community. The entire neighborhood (streets, sidewalks, parks) will be redesigned to make it a pedestrian-friendly location.

Starting this summer, several sites will be undergoing construction to ease the pedestrian access, the main one being on de la Savane st., where the number of traffic lanes will be reduced from 6 to 4 in order to widen the sidewalks and add of a bike path. The $60M investment in the area also includes the renovation of Savane Park in the heart of the neighborhood.

THE SALADA BUILDING

A CarbonLeo initiative and to the delight of Instagramers, the Salada Building now bears the striking colors and eclectic patterns imagined by Irish artist Maser. The abandoned building that used to be the Salada tea factory is now a playful place dedicated to art and a gathering place for the community.

A MULTIFUNCTIONAL URBAN HUB NEARBY

Future co-owners of the Le Jockey project will enjoy the proximity of the future Royalmount center in Côte-des-Neiges. A multifunctional urban center with approximately 200 stores, 5 hotels, several restaurants, a cinema, theaters and office spaces. The Royalmount complex will revolve around lively spaces with a distinctive architecture and will be a new urban destination in the metropolis. The opening is scheduled for 2022.

THE ROYALMOUNT BEEHIVES

With its 400,000 bees in eight hives (installed by Alvéole), Royalmount and CanbonLeo are starting a dialogue with the community by setting up workshops on bee conservation and urban beekeeping. Years after years, the bees will produce nearly 200 pounds of neighborhood-flavored urban honey!

THE ICONIC ORANGE JULEP

A symbolic Montreal landscape since 1932, the last restaurant of the Orange Julep group is renowned for its delicious creamy orange juice. To this day, it remains a gathering spot for vintage lovers who come to admire old cars on Wednesday evenings during summer.

VISION 2025

In the medium term, the objective of the borough is to make all services accessible within walking distance. Several businesses such as a daycare, a pharmacy, a bank, and a dentist's office have already settled in the area.
